Narayan Rane's allegation

Another one on the dirty politicians -

Narayan Rane has alleged that a powerful politician who is close to Vilas Deshmukh was invloved in the 26/11 Mumbai blasts. He told this in the legislative assembly too. This is a very serious allegation. This raises some questions –

  • Why isn’t anyone enquiring with him about the proof?
  • Or is it that this guy is a nut and so his statements are to be ignored?
  • Why haven’t the police questioned him?
  • Isn’t hiding vital information on a crime itself a crime anymore?

संदीप खरेच्या कविता ..... इतके दिवस मी फ़क्त ऐकले होते की संदीप खरेच्या कविता खूप छान असतात. इथे Calgary मधे weekends ला खूप वेळ मिळत असल्याने त्याच्या कवितांना Google केले। This guy writes good stuff. Actually it is Thanks to dear Sachin Kulkarni that I got to hear Sandeep Khare. The first poem that I heard was "अताशा असे हे मला काय होते ". This is a fantastic piece of retrospection. He has brought about the thoughts of everyone who has thought about his actions of the past. The sight of clouds fighting amongst each other to be the first to drench the earth it clouds our thoughts and finds a way out through the eyes. Absolutely stunning metaphor on the ironies and compulsions of life. Here are some of those that I could. Ravindra Sangeet in Hindi Film Songs

Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore had composed over 2200 songs. These songs are popularly known as Rabindra Sangeet . Over the years I found that many Bollywood songs had their origins in Rabindra Sangeet. Most of the popular music directors had been immensely inspired and not been able to resist using their favourite Rabindra Sangeet tune in their music. They often took a note here or a strand there and created their own versions. in this blog I have tried to cover some songs created by SD Burman, RD Burman, Rajesh Roshan, Naushad and Bappi Lahiri. SD Burman had great respect for Rabindra Sangeet and though he did not sing any of that he used it many times. In fact, the story is that once he jocularly boasted to his friends that he had even ripped of the national anthem (composed by Rabindranath Tagore) for one of his recent hits! Guess which song?
