संदीप खरेच्या कविता

Image
This guy writes good stuff. Actually it is Thanks to dear Sachin Kulkarni that I got to hear Sandeep Khare. The first poem that I heard was "अताशा असे हे मला काय होते ". This is a fantastic piece of retrospection. He has brought about the thoughts of everyone who has thought about his actions of the past. The sight of clouds fighting amongst each other to be the first to drench the earth it clouds our thoughts and finds a way out through the eyes. Absolutely stunning metaphor on the ironies and compulsions of life. Here are some of those that I could. I may have made mistakes in writing the exact words as the convertor that I used was actually an English to Hindi one! Just click on the images to make the poems more readable.

Life keeps on happening all the time

These days I am back to my old hobby of putting thoughts on paper. It isn't poetry neither is it prose or shall I say the form is a Chhand (छंद). A lot of things are happening. A lot of events taking place. Life presents itself in so many colors - pain, suffering, happyness, joy to being just dispassionate. We get so engrossed in our activities that we take for granted a lot of things and a lot of people. We somehow train our brain to accept only those things which interest us ... are useful to us. Like when we are preparing to cross the road and we see a beggar on the other side, continue walking a few steps ahead so that the beggar is avoided. Later we do not even remember this incident during the day. We take a lot of things for granted. These days I have a lot of time for myself...... To think about how my life has moved..... Life keeps on happening... Like a storyboard or a movie flashback... The story keeps on building... The characters keep on playing... People keep on enter

Living in Calgary

As you look down from the window of the aeroplane, the first impressions of Calgary are that its smaller than any known US city. Then as the downtown comes in your view it seems even smaller. Yes the downtown area of Calgary is indeed very small consisting of just a few avenues and streets. Now that I have lived here for a year, I have started liking this town. Its spread across a vast area but the population is less than half of Pune. The people are very friendly and courteous. The roads that run east to West are Avenues and the ones that run North to South are termed Streets. After you land and go towards the baggage claim area you find out that the airport is indeed small to be called an International Airport. It however is very neat with clear signages. The airport staff is courteous. Infact all the people I have met till now are friendly and helpful. As soon as you claim your bags and get out of the terminal building a blast of cold air hits you. Yes. It is like entering the freez
