Buddha

Happiness - Story of Buddha There was a king who had everything except happiness and peace. He was so much disturbed , he wanted to seek some sage's advice. He found out that Buddha was living across the river and sent words to him to come and show him how to be happy. Buddha agreed and came with his disciples. Buddha told the king that he wanted all the comforts and the king gladly provided him. One week went by, but no word from Buddha. He was really enjoying all the luxuries. 2 weeks went by, still no advice from Buddha . The king got a bit impatient and thought of giving him one more week. Buddha aske for more luxuries and enjoyed them to the full extent. Finally, the king couldn't take it any longer and ordered him to leave his palace. Buddha agreed and started to go with his disciples. When the king escorted him to the banks to put him in a boat, he asked Buddha,"Sir, atleast tell me now, how to find happiness. you enjoyed the food, you enjoyed the drink, you enjoyed

Poem

A beautiful poem by David Harkins: You can shed tears that she is gone, Or you can smile because she has lived. You can close your eyes and pray that she'll come back, Or you can open your eyes and see all she's left. Your heart can be empty because you can't see her, Or you can be full of the love you shared. You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday, Or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday. You can remember her only that she is gone, Or you can cherish her memory and let it live on. You can cry and close your mind, be empty and turn your back. Or you can do what she'd want: smile, open your eyes, love and go on.
