The noise
They pretend they know my face, Now I see the tricks wrapped in their embrace. Echoes rise from the wolves in disguise, Now, I wonder how I wandered into borrowed lies. This land feels strange beneath my feet, We chose false stars, and our hearts we cheat. Phantoms of beasts tangle my thought, They silence my lips, but my sorrow is caught. Wisdom’s hidden, lost in the air, Missing from slogans or their cold stare. I tried to leave some light behind, Still carving hope in the land of the blind.
