One song inspires many more The notes of one song created in 1951 were tweaked by various music directors to create their own version of the original song. Except for the Tamil version (which is similar note by note) others are “different” as they have been tweaked. They retain the original melody but are distinct in their own way. Listen carefully and you will notice that minor changes in notes and scale lead to sweet songs with the same underlying melody. It all started 1951 with Thadi Hawayein Lehra Ke Aaye from “ Naujawan ” sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Incidentally, this was the first song created by Sahir & S D Burman! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jbSep2GbhE Roshan (father of Rajesh & Rakesh Roshan) liked the tune immensely and used it to create Tera Dil Kaha Hai for “ Chandni Chowk ” in 1954 sung by Asha Bhosle and lyrics by Majrooh Sultanpuri.
